I am back in the blogosphere after a long hiatus. Frankly, I spent so much time keeping up with the election that I just did not take the time to post (the cardinal sin among bloggers). The election didn't turn out the way I would have wanted, but that's what makes America great ... Americans spoke. I just hope the Democratic leadership can start acting like grownups now that they have the reins. Locally, here in Forsyth County, voters approved two bond referendums ... $25 million for the local community college and $250 million, yes I said $250 million for the public schools. Supporters of the public school referendum printed posters with children's pictures on them ... and well ... you know the rest. I thought that's why North Carolina had an "Education Lottery!" I am linking to a great post by Jim Geraghty and an article by perhaps the best and wittiest columnist around, Mark Steyn. Enjoy ...
